We don’t like contemporary porn, not because it’s immoral, or exploitative, or unhealthy – it’s just that most of it is badly made, often degrading to the women (and men) involved, and provides misguided sex education to young people. And we just don’t find that sexy.
In 2014, we are reached out to Melbourne’s artistic community for your input. We want to see art succeed where mainstream porn is letting us all down. With artist submissions, we put together an adult art exhibition that explored the possibilities and potential of the erotic aesthetic.
Through our competition, FECK:ART, we encourage artists to create art that arouses in new and unexpected ways; by what is seen and by what is left unseen. Join us in discarding stereotypes and predictability in favour of creativity and adventure. We look forward to getting hot and heavy with you all again next year.
Our Projects
These three websites have all evolved from our desire to engage the mind in the sphere of erotic experience. The results have been amazing and we've received an incredible body of content from a diverse range of contributors.
I Shot Myself
We started out with an idea - what if women were put in charge of their own image, took all their own pictures? And so we started ishotmyself.com, a totally unique concept where women (and sometimes men) photograph themselves, any way they want, naked.
Beautiful Agony
Next Feck launched an experimental website, beautifulagony.com, challenging mainstream porn on its primary weakness: it's mostly fake. If we could capture the moment of real orgasm, but only showed the face; could we make a highly erotic web site with no nudity at all? The answer was a huge Yes.
Sonic Erotica
SonicErotica is the first erotic web site with content designed for and accessible to people with vision impairment. It's easy to navigate with a screen reader such as JAWS, and full of stimulating stories, adventures, and personal confessions.
